There is a new movie coming out soon, starring Nicole Kidman. The title of the movie is "The Golden Compass". It will be marketed to kids, and they have a book series they will be promoting, too.

Thanks for alerting me. My kids certainly won't be going to see it. Seems like society is trying to wipe out all public references to God. What's really going on here?

More specifically? The series, His Dark Materials, is popular in just the sorts of places that mean it makes good movie material.
